THE WEEKEND by Henrietta Baird nominated in Sydney Theatre Awards

The Weekend by Henrietta Baird has scored two nominations in the 2019 Sydney Theatre Awards!

Congratulations to the phenomenal Shakira Clanton on being nominated for Best Female Actor in a Mainstage Production as well as to Playwright Henrietta Baird, Director Liza-Mare Syron, Producer Lily Shearer, and the entire team for The Weekend being nominated as Best New Australian Work!

The Weekend will return to Sydney stages with Moogahlin Performing Arts & Darlinghurst Theatre Company at the Eternity Playhouse in June 2020.

Sydney Theatre Awards voting members are Elissa Blake (Audrey Journal), Jason Blake (Audrey Journal), Jade Kops (BroadwayWorld), Deborah Jones (The Australian), Jo Litson (Limelight), John McCallum (The Australian), Ben Neutze (Time Out), John Shand (Sydney Morning Herald), Diana Simmonds (Stagenoise), Cassie Tongue (Time Out), and Suzy Wrong (Suzy Goes See).

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Seymour Centre on January 20.
