KOORIe wirguls
A unique project that engages our communities in gathering and showing the world our resilience and pride both in our identity as First Nations identified women and as members of the LGBTQIA+ communities. We dance in celebration of our history, heritage, gender, sexuality, and cultural affiliations.
Koorie Wirguls is a NSW-based First Nations women identified LGBTQIA+ community dance group.
Jannawi Dance Clan is a community-based First People’s dance company encompassing modern, urban and traditional dance styles. The name Jannawi means ‘with you, with me’ in the Dhurag language of Sydney.
A unique project that collaborates with our communities in gathering and showing the world our resilience and pride both in our identity as First Nations identified women and as members of the LGBTQIA+ communities. We dance in celebration of our history, heritage, gender, sexuality, and cultural affiliations.
Pop-up performances will be happening throughout the festival at selected Official Sydney WorldPride events including Marri Madung Butbut: First Nations Gathering Space.
