A MESSAGE FROM THE MOOGS - COMMUNITY APPEAL

blm banner post.png

Around this time each year, we ask our supporters to donate towards our future success.

For us success looks like a culturally empowered First Peoples performing arts sector. It’s our people being strong in body, heart, mind, and spirit, with platforms to share our stories with the world.

We cannot hope to succeed if our community is not empowered.

The impacts of COVID-19 on the arts sector, and continued deaths in custody of our own people and of Black, First Nations, and People of Colour worldwide has further exposed the reality we know of a system built to disadvantage many at the benefit of a few.

This year, for those who can afford it, we ask that you donate your money to our community instead.

We’ve compiled a list of community services, fundraisers, and support funds you can donate to. This is in no way an exhaustive list. And remember if you cannot show up with your money, showing up with your body, brain, ears, food, or time is equally as useful.

We at Moogs will continue to work to support our artists and connect our communities to creativity and culture in as many innovative ways as we can come up with.

To our Blackfulla, Black, First Nations, and People of Colour fams - we see you, we hear you, we are you.

For our not-First Peoples fam and audience - we urge you to listen, learn, unlearn, and act.
